It seems Spring is taking it’s sweet time to appear in many places…Japan included. It’s April 1st. I expect 40-50 degree weather around here by now. That picture was taken about 1.5 weeks ago. What’s funny is, that was 19 inches of snow, which then pretty much melted in a few days of a chilled 60 degrees out.
Rain came. Rain is a spring like sign..right? Well we got a ton of rain just the other night which then turned into sleet, then hail and when it was all said and done, several inches of snow. Of course it all just about melted yesterday. Today it was blustery out and could have been a fall day, lol.
I am not easily fooled and checking the upcoming days weather forecasts it looks like we are in for some more snow on the weekend. I honestly don’t mind. I mean, I love the snow and I will be getting my fill of beachy weather moving to Hawaii…right? So I am looking forward to it, for now I am ok though.
March was a miserable month for me, I was sick practically the entire month! I only blogged a couple times and I did not bake at all. I did manage to get packing though, more so going from room to room in our home and deciding what to keep, toss or sell. It has helped in making Spring cleaning easier!
We were able t find Bun ( my little rabbit) a new home. It is so sad that I am not able to take him to Hawaii with us but the new couple fell right in love with him and things are going well. So while I am heartbroken, I am also happy and blessed that he has others to love and care for him.
Not to much exciting things happening here aside from getting ready for our huge move. Pretty soon all the festivals will begin. Japan Day is happening this weekend. It is rather small compared to all the other festivals we have here. Considering our time is just about done here, I am sure we will make a quick stop and maybe take some pictures.
How is the weather in your neck of the woods? Has Spring sprung for you!
