Last Day In Japan

We are coming full circle as of tomorrow morning, July 8th. We will leave Japan and head to our new home in Hawaii. It’s hard to honestly say I am sad about leaving Japan. I know so many who wish they could stay longer or that they will miss this thing, that thing and many other “things”.

I have been lucky or blessed, which ever you prefer to have been able to live in Japan. I would not trade it nor do I wish it did not happen. There are many great memories I shall leave Japan with. Friends, there have been a few great friends I found here and some have already scattered to other parts of the world, back to the US.

If you were to ask me if you should come to Japan, I will be honest and tell you to go to more populated areas of Japan such as Tokyo. When you tell people you live in Japan, they are always thinking something like Tokyo, which by the way…Misawa is NOT. Misawa is a little ole farming community in Northern Japan. There are fields of all kinds and smells too, in the summer from the farms 🙂

One of the things we’ve enjoyed the last 3 years is exploring, and that you will do in Misawa! It’s a good little drive to just about anywhere but it sure is a beautiful drive! The beauty of the country I will miss. The people of Japan I will miss. This base, I will not miss. The drama has sure kept me entertained the last 3 years.

It is hard for me to contain my joy & happiness about moving to Hawaii!! Another adventure, another chapter in a new book, another dream reached, another tick off on my bucket list.

In 12 hours or so we will be taking our first flight on our journey to Hawaii. I am sure the night will be sleepless for me, travel and BIG moves make me nervous and we have bad weather around which is all to common this time of year, heavy fog and rain. It is also very stressful with the 2 dogs. It will all be fine in the end and soon we will be in Hawaii and I can not wait!!!!!!!!!!
