Time seems to always be flying, it is moving faster and faster as our moving date draws nearer too! Exciting times as well as stressful.
For some reason I feel like reflecting on what has gone on this month, it went by quickly. It has been a fairly calm month as far as attending events or anything really.
Valentines Day came and went. I received some wonderful gifts and sadly was pretty sick and so it was.
A bigger and more exciting event was the SOY Banquet. For you non-military, it is an annual awards ceremony celebrating the best of the best in the Command. My husband was the Senior Sailor of The Year. I am so proud of him. He has worked hard and I am very happy he has been recognized.
We also had a record amount of snowfall for us here in Japan in February. We have now had 128 inches of snowfall so far this season! I know people in the states complain but they really just don’t get nearly even close to the amounts we do. I love the snow though so nothing but smiles from me.
Now today is the last day of the month. It is actually early evening here in Japan. It is a quiet evening, my husband has been sick with a cold and he is napping. I wish I could kick the sinus issues that are currently plaguing me as I hate the pain and it’s all on the right side of my head/face. Tis the season for these aliments and it shall pass.
I am looking forward to March. Not sure why as there is nothing planned really as of yet. I am excited about baking some green-ish type things for St. Patty’s Day and maybe getting a head start on some cleaning & purging for the upcoming move. I don’t think I am quite ready for Spring but that is still a ways away for us here. We could possibly still get snow well into April and it tends to still be in the 40’s in May.
I hope your month has been a decent one and hopefully your home has not been too sick, the only major downside to winter for me! Is there anything you are looking forward to in March? Please share!
